Good Morning!  Today is Thursday, January 11, 2018.

Today’s lunch is: French toast, sausage, green beans, and fruit.

Happy Birthday today to 5th grader Maddie Houck!

Homecoming elections will be tomorrow during first period.  Vantage students may come to the office to vote.

Fiction on Film will be offered 9th period second semester.  If you would like details about the class, see Mrs. Gerding.  If you would like to add the class to your schedule, please see Mr. Clement.

The Academic Club team split its matches with Miller City last night with high scores from Jacob Kahle, Christian Nartker, and Tanner Schultz.  The team is currently 3-1.

Any student or parent interested in the Europe trip in 2019 should contact Mr. Deitering or Mr. Miller.  The trip will be to France, Switzerland, Austria & Germany.  We will have an informational meeting later on this month. 

The Winter Color Guard Clinic will be Monday, January 15 and Wednesday, January 17 from 4-5:30pm and Saturday (20th) from 9-11am. This clinic is open to anyone interested in trying out for color guard for next school year. Previous color guard members and any other interested students grades 7-11 are invited to attend.

Parents scheduled to work the boys’ game tomorrow are:  Dale & Julie Siebeneck, Tim & Nicole Remlinger, Sharon & Gary Siebeneck, Beth & Greg Hellman, Samantha Garberson, and Mark & Jackie Vorst. Please report at 5:00 p.m. for the 6:00 game.  Parents to work the girls’ game on Saturday are:  Tom & Jennifer Roof, Troy & Nancy Rampe, Adam Westrick, and Don & Cindy Rall.  Please report at 11:00 a.m. for the 12:00 game.  Parents to work the boys’ game on Saturday are:  Travis & Tiffani Hundley, Brian & Emily Wehri, Tannis Becker, Dean & Amber Strauer, and Brian & Kelly Hoffman.  Please report at 5:00 p.m.

Students to work clean-up for tomorrow’s boys’ game are:  Jacob Siebeneck, Kierstan Remlinger, Sara Siebeneck, Emma Hellman, Sean Garberson, Ava Vorst, and Ella Schumacher.  Students to work the girls’ game on Saturday are Katelyn Roof, Brady Rampe, Maidge & Molly Westrick, Jennifer & Grace Rall.  Students to work the boys’ game on Saturday are:  Alayna Hundley, Ella Wehri, Kenzie White, Reese Strauer, Colin Hoffman, Elizabeth Loveland, Grant Fortman, and Kyla Fortman. 

Presale tickets for the boys’ home games on Friday vs. FJ and Saturday vs. Tinora will be on sale from 8-3 today and 8-Noon on Friday in the high school office.  Adults $6, students $4, all tickets at the door will be $6.  Absolutely no tickets will be sold after noon on Friday.

The JV boys’ game vs. Tinora on Saturday will only be a 2 quarter game due to low numbers at Tinora.  The game will still start at 6pm followed by the varsity game.

Good Luck tonight to the boys’ freshman team as they play Liberty-Benton at the high school gym beginning at 5:00 pm.  Good Luck also to the girls’ Junior High team as they play Holgate at St. Michael’s gym.  It also has a 5:00 start.
