Federal Programming/Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act (IDEA)
Public Participation Meeting Notice
Kalida Local Schools receives federal funding to implement requirements of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) and the Individuals with Disabilities Act (IDEA) including ARPIDEA funds to assist with closing the achievement gaps for special populations such as students who are economically disadvantaged, learners of English, neglected and delinquent, disabled and more. Kalida Local Schools also receives federal funding in the form of Title I funding and other programs. The district plans to use these funds to defray and enhance our operation cost of providing intervention and regular education services throughout the district. Community members who would like to have input into the planning of the use of the federal programs and funds are welcome to provide input during our public hearing to be held on August 9, 2023 at 6:30 pm. The meeting will be held in the Kalida Schools Administration Board of Education offices located at 301 N. 3rd Street, Kalida, OH.
