Kalida Local School District
E-Learning/Remote Learning
Dear Kalida Local Schools Parents:
On Thursday, February 13, Kalida Schools experienced its 7th calamity day for the current school year. We are making up two of those days with in-person makeup days on Friday, March 21 and Monday, April 21. In the event the district needs to close school again in the future for whatever reason, the district will immediately implement remote learning days for its students and staff. By using this approach, we can apply learning without interruption and forego the need to add days to the end of the adopted school calendar. We can utilize up to three remote learning days, if necessary.
Moving forward, the next time school is closed, an E-Learning/Remote Learning day will occur and students in grades 5-12 will be instructed to login and students in K-4 will follow the directions in packets given to them by their teachers. K-4 Parents – you can expect the first packet(s) to be sent home soon. 5-12 Parents – A letter was sent via Final Forms describing the E-Learning and Remote learning schedules and expectations for students and staff soon. You can also find it by clicking on this link.
